Mandatory Course Safety Talks

There will be a mandatory course safety talk held every hour on the hour that riders must attend before picking up their ride materials and before departing on their epic ride.  Course talks will be held at the same location as Packet Pickup.  Exact site TBD.  Packet Pickup and Course Talks will be running from Noon-8PM Friday.

Short Course Option

Starting in Escondido, Cyclists will ride with Long Course cyclists all the way to the start of the arduous Mt. Palomar climb section.  Here, Cyclists taking the Short Course detour will continue straight as Long Course Cyclists head right and start the ascent up Palomar.  Long and Short Course Cyclists will reconnect on the back side of Palomar and continue the course together as they ride back to downtown Escondido.  Short Course Riders will have a 94 mile ride in total compared to the 104 mile ride for Long Course Riders.  

Start Location

Riders will take off from San Pasqual High School in waves.  The first wave will be leaving at 7AM.
